Dimitri has always been an early riser. Much of that has to do with the fact that, before now, he had to rise and settle with the sun. Even now, he finds himself stirring with the first rays of light but today it's for more than just routine.

"Good morning, beloved," he's quick to say, pressing a kiss to his bedmate's temple before sitting up with a yawn. He ties his hair back, puts on his eyepatch, and gets adorned in his... fishing boots? Hm. "I had hoped you might assist me with something," he starts as Byleth also gets up and ready to start his day. "We're good on food stores, of course, but now that the temperature is dropping a bit... I figured it couldn't hurt to get a little more of your favorite?" Fish, he means. He knows how his love enjoys the sport so and especially on quiet mornings when they're alone.

It doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary. Yet. Dimitri though is doing his best to hide the anxiety buzzing just beneath the surface of his actions and words. He's trying not to reach down into his pocket too obviously to touch the ring resting there for reassurance. He wants this day to be perfect for many reasons, but most of all because Byleth deserves to be the happiest he can be on it.
