Disposition:
Flat Affect - Even when Byleth was a newborn baby, he was a child that neither laughed nor cried. Very rarely through his life has Byleth truly expressed or even felt anything particular, his expression blank and reactions subdued. It's only recently after becoming a professor to students that Byleth has actually begun to feel and express his emotions. Though he has gotten better, it's still difficult to perceive how Byleth might be feeling, and he doesn't always manage to express it well to others.
Determined - Byleth is not a man who knows how to give up. Every strange thing has been thrown his way, and he's only marched forward to overcome it. His father was killed before his eyes, and though Byleth took time to mourn he also didn't let it defeat him. He chose, instead, to move forward and obtain revenge, as well as continuing to lead and protect his students. Even after abruptly becoming involved in a war, Byleth didn't let it drag him down, and instead focused on winning his battles. Through all of the strange things he's been through, Byleth is not a man who surrenders.
Hyperfocused - No doubt developed from his life being raised as a mercenary, Byleth is not someone to just ignore the little details. He calculates nearly everything, anywhere from figuring out his friends' favorite meals, their preferred teas, or the kinds of gifts they like to receive. He even organizes when everyone's birthday is, as well as attempting to apply their various skills into the battlefield.
Charismatic - Despite the fact Byleth struggles to emote, there is certainly something about him that makes him appealing to others and want to engage with. In part, it is because Byleth genuinely wants to interact with his comrades and learn more about them, as well as help them. Another part is because of Byleth's strength as a tactician, allowing him to properly instruct others during a fight.
Suitability: Not too many things can faze Byleth. Though there's something to be said about watching people around him transforming into monsters that might be concerning considering where he's from, but even then Byleth is someone who is used to having to adapt to an ever changing lifestyle, including strange battles against monsters, giant beasts, and evidently having the heart of a Goddess inside of him. Since he's coming from a high fantasy setting with some unusual events already, Byleth can and will adapt fairly easily into the setting of Noctium.
Condition upon arrival: Healthy, uninjured, in his standard regalia.
Abilities:
Crest of Flames - Byleth's Crest is quite literally also his heart, his human heart having not once beaten since his birth. His Crest, which is also the Crest of the Goddess, keeps him alive and gives him some unusual abilities. Primarily, the Crest can occasionally heal Byleth if he is harmed during battle. In addition, if Byleth is in mortal danger of dying, his Crest can possibility activate and work to restore him, but this can take some time.
Divine Pulse - As a result of harboring the Goddess Sothis inside of him, Byleth has the ability to turn back time. However, he can only turn it back for about 5-10 seconds to fix a single mistake and nothing more.
Fishing - Byleth is an exceptional fisher who has a knack for catching many unusual types of fish.
Tactician - Having learned from one of the best warriors in all of Fodlan, Byleth is an incredible strategist to the point that people will feel confident to follow his orders in battle.
Former Mercenary - Since he was a child, Byleth has learned how to fight. Having lived in his father's mercenary corps for the majority of his life, Byleth is an exceptional warrior in many methods, including lances, axes, swords, and hand to hand combat.
Magic - Though Byleth can arguably learn more for himself, he knows two spells, which are Fire and Heal. They do exactly what you might expect.
