It took me a long time to try to put this down. It's still probably not what you want and not as much as you deserve. For now, though, it's what I can give. [ It's an average day at the manor.

Dimitri is in a state of anxiety perhaps more pronounced than usual though. The man practically hums with nervous energy; he jumps at the sound of Byleth entering the kitchen but that was just the man he wanted to see.

Were his palms always so sweaty? How does one person even produce this much sweat? Goddess, he's a mess but he needs to address this before he hears it from Claude or Bernadetta first. While not his intention, communicating these things is... still difficult. ]

Byleth, [ he starts, clearing his throat nervously to make sure he can say all he needs to. ] A moment, if you would?

[ He looks up with that gentle flatness, but there's a hint of warmth there when he meets Dimitri's gaze. He places his wash rag down, untying the apron he had been wearing and hanging it on the cupboard handle. ]

And with that, Sylvain slides his phone onto the nightstand. Byleth and Dimitri's nightstand to be specific. Because he's stretched out on his back, buck ass naked, and lounging on Byleth's bed. The only thing he's got on his person is a big red bow... tied around his dick, of course.

Moments later, the door opens, and Byleth steps in, looking at what is on his bed, and then closing the door behind him. He sighs, but there's an amused smile on his face that betrays the fact that he's not at all bothered.

"Well." He says with an appraising look, "The bow is a surprise."

[ While she is nowhere to be found in all the fanfare surrounding Byleth's birthday, she still does something to celebrate it in her own way. It's nothing personal that she didn't attend the party; birthdays are a bit of a touchy thing for Rose who often spends hers drunk and alone.

The gift she ends up leaving in secret for him to find is a wooden music box. On the top is carved - and painted delicately - the rushing waves of a river and fish jumping out of it. There are two silhouettes on the edge of the music box, distinctly Byleth and Dimitri-shaped. The song that plays when it is wound is titled Promise of The World and had seemed apt.

The note attached reads simply:
Happy whateverith birthday, dude. It isn't much but I hope you both like it.

[No doubt Byleth has had a number of lovers come to him and show him a good time. Ashe doesn't let himself pause and think about how he might measure up; instead, he pours all of his focus into wanting to just be good for Byleth.

So here he is, on his knees, nuzzling between Byleth's thighs.]

[ Despite that fact, Ashe remained one of his focuses. He spent a great deal of time with the archer. He's somewhat aware of the man's doubts, but had he been more so he'd take the time to remedy that. As complicated as it is, he would designate himself as most assuredly in love with the aspiring knight.

He reaches down and tucks some of that silver hair behind his ear, fingers tracing down his cheek tenderly. ]

Thank you Ashe. You really didn't have to do all of this... but I'll never forget it.

[ He helps, lifting his hips so he can wiggle out of his pants and briefs. ]

This 25th is different than how I thought I'd be celebrating it a year ago, you know? But I think I almost like this better. I feel like I've had a chance to really get to know you more and see you flourish with your emotions. It's really beautiful, and I'm so happy that you've married His Highness.
