"Ahh, need your teacher to come hold your hand?" He teases. Sylvain is one of the last people to be worried about ghosts, but he can't help himself.

"I'd love to. Though I can't promise I'm a whole lot of fun at these kinds of functions."

"Is it sexy handholding? If so, then I'm terrified beyond belief, and yes." Don't ask what sexy handholding is, Sylvain doesn't know either.

"But what do you mean? I can't really think of time you're not fun to have around."

"What, may I ask, denotes 'sexy' handholding exactly?" Oh he's GOING to ask. But wait-

"You... think I'm fun? Seriously?"

"Y'know," Sylvain gestures vaguely, and being over video call certainly doesn't help just how vague it is. "Holding hands. But sexy. You get it."

Moving on.

"And yeah, of course I do? When was it ever a dull moment with you around? Weird sure, but I can't say I was ever bored around you."

He'll let that go, mercifully, in the revelation that anyone found him fun to be around. Especially Sylvain. He would have assumed the man took him for a stick in the mud. Then again, the Gautier son was always full of surprises.

"Well... count me flattered. Thank you. I enjoy your company as well, for what it's worth."

He's grateful for that. He really didn't have an explanation. Sometimes he just runs his mouth for the fun of it.

"Heh, flattered enough to come with me to some creepy castle via corviknights maybe? Surely nothing could go wrong with that scenario. They're coming around to pick people up around sunset... figured I'd just wear this."

"Well I can't let you go on your own, can I?" He teases lightly, a smile stretching his lips. "Yes, I'd love to come along."

A pause.

"Am I dress up as well?"

"I'm dangerous unsupervised." Accompanied by a wink, of course. "And yeah, pretty sure that's part of the rules. Festivity and all."

"... I will fetch a costume." And he just. Walks off. Only to return moments later in that full Espurr onesie, looking serious as ever. Breakfast is in tow, wearing a tiny replica of his usual tunic.

"I am ready."

Sylvain waits. And waits. And when Byleth comes back into frame Sylvain damn-near loses it laughing.

"Where did you even get a costume for Breakfast?"
